Briggs & Stratton Crankshaft End Play Shim

Briggs & Stratton crankshaft end play shims are genuine OEM replacement parts. They control crankshaft end play (also called crankshaft endplay or thrust clearance) in Briggs & Stratton small engines. End play is the small amount of axial movement the crankshaft has along its length. A shim sets the correct spacing between the crankshaft and the surrounding engine components.

Key Features:

• Genuine Briggs & Stratton OEM part made for Briggs & Stratton engines
• Helps keep the crankshaft aligned and the spacing between moving parts correct
• Helps reduce wear on critical internal engine components
• Supports smoother engine operation and longer engine life
• Used during engine servicing and rebuilds to bring end play back within specification

Check the allowable end play for your engine in the Briggs & Stratton repair manual. Measure end play during assembly, then choose the shim that brings it within that range. The right clearance helps protect your engine and keeps it running reliably.
