GPD Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve

The GPD Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Valve (also called a vapor canister purge valve, EVAP purge solenoid or purge control valve) is a replacement part for the vehicle's evaporative emission control system. It controls how fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister are drawn into the engine intake to be burned, instead of venting to the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Electrically controlled solenoid valve that opens and closes on command from the engine computer
• Meters fuel vapor from the EVAP canister into the intake manifold during suitable operating conditions
• Helps the vehicle keep emissions in check and supports proper EVAP system operation
• Designed as a direct replacement for the original component, with form and function matched to the application
• Backed by GPD's experience supplying aftermarket engine management and emissions parts

A failing purge valve can cause a check engine light, EVAP-related trouble codes, rough idle, hard starting after refueling, or a failed emissions test. Replacing it restores correct vapor flow and helps the engine run smoothly. Choose the specific part number for your application from the options in this product line.
