GPD A/C Evaporator Core Ford Fusion

The GPD A/C evaporator core is a replacement part for your vehicle's air conditioning system. The evaporator (also called an A/C evaporator or AC evaporator coil) sits inside the HVAC housing behind the dashboard. It removes heat and humidity from the cabin air as refrigerant passes through it. A leaking, clogged or corroded evaporator can cause weak cooling, a musty odor, or loss of refrigerant.

Key Features:

• Aftermarket replacement evaporator core, offered by GPD as a direct replacement for the original part
• Heat-exchanger construction that transfers heat from the cabin air into the refrigerant
• Helps restore cooling performance and cabin comfort
• Each part number in this product line is listed individually, so you can choose the one that matches your application

Installation Notes: The evaporator is located inside the HVAC housing, so replacement usually means removing dashboard and HVAC components. Technicians normally recover the refrigerant first, then evacuate and recharge the system afterward. They also commonly replace the expansion valve or orifice tube and the receiver/drier or accumulator during the same service.
