GPD A/C Evaporator Core Plate Fin

The GPD A/C evaporator core (plate fin design) is a replacement air conditioning evaporator. It sits inside the vehicle's HVAC housing and cools and dehumidifies cabin air. As refrigerant passes through the core, it absorbs heat from the air blown across it. A failing evaporator core can cause weak cooling, refrigerant leaks, or musty odors.

Key Features:

• Plate fin construction: Stacked formed plates create passages for refrigerant flow. The fins increase surface area for heat exchange.
• Aluminum construction: Aluminum is lightweight and conducts heat well. It also resists corrosion.
• Replacement design: Made to restore cooling performance in place of a leaking, clogged, or damaged original evaporator.
• Quality focus: GPD supplies aftermarket automotive HVAC and A/C components for repair and maintenance.

Installation Notes: Evaporator replacement is best done with the A/C system properly evacuated and recharged. Replace the receiver/drier or accumulator, the expansion valve or orifice tube, and any O-rings or seals at the same time. Flush the system and add the correct amount of refrigerant oil to help protect the new core.
