Gates Purge Solenoid Valve

The Gates Purge Solenoid Valve (also called an EVAP canister purge valve or vapor canister purge solenoid) is part of the evaporative emission control system. It controls when fuel vapors stored in the charcoal canister are drawn into the engine intake to be burned, instead of escaping to the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• Electrically operated solenoid valve that the engine control module opens and closes to meter vapor flow
• Helps the vehicle's evaporative emission system work as designed
• Replaces a worn or stuck valve, a common cause of EVAP-related check engine lights, rough idle, and hard starting after refueling
• Built by Gates, a long-established name in engine and fluid-handling components

Replacing a failing purge solenoid helps restore proper vapor management and emissions system operation. Each part number in this product line is a purge solenoid valve. Choose the specific part number that matches your application.
