ACDelco GM OE Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

The ACDelco GM OE Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (also called an ECT sensor, coolant temp sensor or engine temperature sensor) monitors the temperature of the coolant in your engine. It sends that data to the engine control module (ECM). The ECM uses the signal to adjust fuel delivery, ignition timing, idle speed and cooling fan operation. It also uses it to drive the dashboard temperature gauge or warning light.

Key Features:

• Original-equipment-grade design, matched to General Motors specifications for form, fit and function
• Provides accurate coolant temperature readings for reliable engine management
• Supports smooth starts, stable idle, efficient fuel use and controlled emissions
• Built to withstand the heat, vibration and chemical exposure of the engine cooling system
• Backed by ACDelco, GM's original equipment parts brand

A failing coolant temperature sensor can cause hard starting, rough idle, poor fuel economy, overheating or a check engine light. Replacing it with a quality ACDelco GM OE sensor helps restore proper engine performance. Select the child item that matches your application.
