ACDelco Automatic Transmission Clutch Backing Plate Retaining Ring

The ACDelco Automatic Transmission Clutch Backing Plate Retaining Ring (also called a clutch plate retainer ring or snap ring) holds the backing plate in place inside the clutch pack of an automatic transmission or transaxle. It keeps the clutch stack securely seated under load. This is a key part of any transmission rebuild or repair.

Key Features:

• GM-recommended replacement for the original factory component
• Manufactured to GM OE specification for fit, form, and function
• Flat steel wire construction for durable retention
• Designed for the quality, reliability, and durability expected of GM Original Equipment and Genuine GM Parts
• Available for a range of transmission clutch positions and applications

Replacing the retaining ring during a transmission overhaul helps the clutch pack stay properly assembled and keeps shifts consistent. ACDelco is GM's original equipment parts brand, and these rings are built to meet strict quality requirements.
