Standard Motor Products Intermotor Relay

The Standard Motor Products Intermotor A/C Clutch Relay is an electrical relay that controls power to the air conditioning compressor clutch. When the climate control system calls for cooling, the relay closes its internal circuit. This lets a low-current signal switch the higher current needed to engage the compressor clutch. It is also sold as an AC relay or air conditioning compressor clutch relay.

Key Features:

• Switches the A/C compressor clutch circuit reliably on demand
• Built as a replacement part to meet or match original equipment function and fit
• Sealed housing helps protect the internal contacts from moisture, dust and vibration
• Intermotor is Standard Motor Products' line of import and European vehicle replacement parts
• Plug-in design makes installation simple in most applications

A failing A/C clutch relay can cause intermittent cooling, a compressor that will not engage, or a clutch that cycles erratically. Replacing it restores proper control of the A/C system. Standard Motor Products has supplied engine management, electrical and temperature control components to the aftermarket for many years.
