Dorman Evaporative Emissions Canister Vent Solenoid

The Dorman Evaporative Emissions Canister Vent Solenoid, also called a vapor canister vent valve, EVAP vent solenoid or canister vent control valve, is a replacement part for the vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. It opens and closes the vent line on the charcoal canister. This lets the system seal for leak testing and lets fresh air in when the canister is purged.

Key Features:

• Replaces a worn or failed vent solenoid that can trigger EVAP-related check engine lights and diagnostic trouble codes
• Helps the EVAP system hold vapor pressure correctly during self-diagnostic tests
• Helps keep fuel vapors out of the atmosphere by directing them to the canister for storage and later burning in the engine
• Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the original component, so installation is typically simple
• Backed by Dorman's long experience supplying aftermarket replacement parts

A faulty canister vent solenoid can cause problems such as trouble fueling, a failed emissions test, or a persistent check engine light. Replacing it helps restore proper EVAP system operation and emissions compliance.
