Product Details

The Prothane 7-1604 polyurethane transmission mount is engineered to replace weak factory rubber mounts that deteriorate over time and cause excessive drivetrain movement. Factory rubber mounts were never designed for high-performance or heavy-duty applications, leading to sloppy shifts, increased vibration, and potential component damage.

Key Features:

  • High-durometer polyurethane construction resists oil, road chemicals, and extreme temperatures
  • Controls torque and eliminates transmission mount breakage under hard acceleration
  • Poly-locked "run-safe" interlocking design prevents catastrophic failure and being stranded
  • Fits both 1-bolt and 2-bolt transmission mount configurations
  • Reduces drivetrain slop for crisper shifts and improved power transfer
  • Direct replacement for worn or failed OEM rubber mounts

This transmission mount significantly improves drivetrain stability while maintaining acceptable NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) levels for street use. The interlocking safety feature ensures that even if the mount experiences extreme stress, it won't separate completely like a failed rubber mount, preventing you from being left stranded.
