Belimo EFCX120-S N4 Spring Return Damper Actuator 270 in-lb On/Off 100-240V NEMA 4

The Belimo EFCX120-S N4 is a spring return (fail-safe) damper actuator for on/off control of dampers in HVAC systems. It delivers 270 in-lb (30 Nm) of torque and runs on 100-240 VAC. The NEMA 4 enclosure makes it suitable for demanding environments.

Key Features:

• Torque: 270 in-lb (30 Nm)
• Control type: On/off, from an auxiliary contact or a manual switch
• Power supply: AC 100...240 V
• Spring return: Provides constant torque to the damper with or without power applied, for fail-safe operation and positive close-off on air-tight dampers
• Auxiliary switches: 2x built-in SPDT switches
• Enclosure: NEMA 4 / UL Enclosure Type 4
• Angle of rotation: 95° maximum, adjustable from 35° to 95° with a mechanical end stop, with a graduated position indicator
• Running time: 75 seconds per 90° (motor); 10 seconds (fail-safe)
• Power consumption: 9.5 W running, 4.5 W holding, 21 VA for wire sizing
• Manual override: 5 mm hex crank (3/16 in. Allen), supplied
• Fail-safe direction: Reversible by cw/ccw mounting

Installation: The actuator direct-couples to damper shafts up to 1.05 in. in diameter through its universal clamp, so no crank arm or linkage is needed. The minimum shaft diameter is 1 in. A crank arm and mounting brackets are available separately for applications where direct coupling isn't possible. Up to two actuators can be piggybacked in parallel for torque loads up to 540 in-lb.

This Belimo damper actuator suits outdoor-air, mixing-box and other large commercial HVAC dampers that need reliable fail-safe positioning.
