Trane EXC2203 OEM Replacement Heat Exchanger for American Standard & Trane Units

The Trane EXC2203 is a genuine OEM replacement heat exchanger designed specifically for Trane and American Standard heating and cooling systems. Also referenced under part number EXC02203 and EXC-2203, this is a unit-specific component and is not a universal fit.

As a critical component in a forced-air furnace, the heat exchanger is responsible for transferring thermal energy from the combustion process to the air circulated throughout the home — all while keeping combustion gases safely separated from the breathing air supply. A properly functioning heat exchanger is essential for both heating efficiency and indoor air safety.

Key Features:

• Genuine OEM Trane / American Standard component
• Direct replacement for part numbers EXC2203, EXC02203, and EXC-2203
• Compatible with select Trane and American Standard furnace models
• Unit-specific design — not a universal replacement part
• Built to OEM specifications for reliable, long-term performance
• 1-year warranty from date of purchase
• Due to size and weight, requires truck freight shipment — not eligible for standard UPS delivery

Installation Note: Depending on the specific furnace model, additional parts may be required for a complete replacement. Refer to Trane service bulletin PART-SVN114A-EN for a full parts list and installation instructions.

Replace a cracked or failing heat exchanger promptly — a compromised heat exchanger can allow carbon monoxide to enter the living space and significantly reduce furnace efficiency.
