Product Details

The Moroso 20009 is a complete oil pan kit engineered for 1980–85 Small Block Chevy engines built on stock or Dart SHP aftermarket blocks with a passenger-side dipstick. This wet sump oil pan kit features an 8.25-inch deep T-sump design and delivers superior oil control for high-performance street and strip applications. Unlike standalone pan offerings, the 20009 ships as a complete kit including the oil pump pickup, mounting hardware, and gasket — everything needed for a complete installation.

Key Features:

  • 7-quart wet sump capacity — increased oil volume reduces operating temperatures and ensures consistent pickup supply
  • 8.25-inch deep T-sump — extra depth provides additional oil storage and improved oil control under acceleration
  • Kicked-out sump design — maximizes oil volume without sacrificing ground clearance
  • Clears 4.125-inch stroke with most steel connecting rods — stroker compatible
  • Fits 4-bolt Dart, GM, and Merlin main caps — compatible with popular aftermarket blocks
  • Integrated crank scraper and uni-directional windage screen — strips oil from the rotating assembly for improved power and efficiency
  • Trap door baffle — prevents oil starvation under hard acceleration
  • Steel construction with durable black powder coat finish by Moroso Powder Coating
  • Designed for 2-piece rear main seal applications
  • Kit includes oil pump pickup, mounting hardware, and pan gasket

Moroso oil pans are manufactured to exacting tolerances and are trusted by racers and performance enthusiasts worldwide. The 20009 kit simplifies the build process by consolidating the critical oiling system components into a single, matched package for 1980–85 SBC and Dart SHP engine builds.

Ordering was easy.

so far its been good

Perfect

Very easy

Great price, fast shipping, part was as described and new.

very easy

Very happy with the product I received and the time of delivery. We have installed it yet as the person I ordered it for actually died the day that was delivered. But it is identical to the one that came off the vehicle, I did want to let you know that we checked at the auto salvage yard which is a U-Pull-It yard, and the price at which we paid for your new product was the same thing they were charging for a used one, that included the shipping price. The difference is every single one they had there which was a total of six of them, every single one was rusted out the same way as the one we are replacing, I did want to let you know that I ordered it by the part number and not by what you said is vehicle fit. It was a 2011 Chevy HHR, on your page, it came up as for an HHR but every single version says does not fit base version, does not fit LX, every single version that I put in all the different versions of the HHR your own advertisement says does not fit that version. But luckily you have the actual part number listed and who actually produced it and it was their part number, and before I say much more about the price, because it was a good price and you'd sell more if you took off the does not fit different versions than it does fit. The local salvage yard was recently purchased by somebody who bought all the local solid yards and instantly Rose their prices. What I used to be able to buy as in like a transfer case for my Jeep Cherokee would be anywhere from 25 to $50 and now they're asking $150 for a used transfer case with no guarantee except I can exchange it if it doesn't work. So this local you put a salvage yard it's pretty much put themself out of business I think. Because they don't have nearly the number of vehicles they used to. And pretty much what they're charging for used parts that I have to pull off, are the same prices that I'm having to pay for at other purchase options like the one you provided, and like I said, the Jeep transfer case that I was looking for, what they're charging now is something I can purchase from somebody that's been tested and rebuilt. So they're having unrealistic pricing, but we are so happy with your product.

It fits!!

Ot arrive faster then expected.
