3M VHB Tape 4646 (Part No. 56313) is a 0.025-inch (25 mil) thick dark gray double-sided acrylic foam tape designed for high-strength permanent bonding applications. The general-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides bonds to a broad range of high surface energy substrates including metals, glass, and easier-to-bond paints and plastics. Each small pack roll measures 1/2 inch wide x 36 yards long and is sold in a case of 4 rolls.

Part of the 3M VHB 4611 tape family, the 4646 features a firm acrylic foam core that delivers exceptional foam strength and high temperature resistance — withstanding continuous exposure up to 300°F (149°C) with short-term tolerance up to 450°F (232°C). This makes it particularly well-suited for bonding applications that precede high-temperature paint processing. It is typically used on metal substrates such as aluminum, galvanized steel, and stainless steel.
