ACDelco 86548553 Front Bumper Shutter Assembly

The ACDelco 86548553 is a GM Original Equipment front bumper shutter assembly, also sold as GM Genuine Parts 86548553. This active grille shutter assembly is designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous GM standards to ensure a precise OE fit and reliable long-term performance.

Active grille shutters play a critical role in modern vehicle aerodynamics and thermal management. By opening and closing in response to engine cooling demands, the shutter assembly helps direct airflow through the front bumper opening to the radiator when needed, and restricts it when not — improving aerodynamic efficiency and helping keep the engine operating at its optimal temperature.

Key Features:

• OE Replacement: Manufactured to GM original equipment specifications for a direct-fit installation
• Optimized Airflow: Helps properly direct air flow to the engine cooling system
• Engine Temperature Management: Assists in maintaining optimal engine operating temperature
• Durable Construction: Black plastic housing built to withstand under-hood and front-end conditions
• GM Backed: Designed, engineered, and validated by GM engineers specifically for GM vehicles
• GM Note: Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared under the ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE) branding

This front bumper shutter assembly is the correct OEM solution for restoring proper grille shutter function on compatible GM vehicles. Using genuine GM parts ensures compatibility with your vehicle's engine management and safety systems, which aftermarket alternatives may not fully replicate.
