Trane VAL22248 Thermostatic Expansion Valve TXV Circuit A - 8-Ton

The Trane VAL22248 is an OEM thermostatic expansion valve (TXV) engineered for 8-ton commercial HVAC applications. Designated as a Circuit A valve, it is specifically designed for use in multi-circuit evaporator coil systems where independent refrigerant metering per circuit is required for optimized performance.

The TXV precisely regulates the flow of refrigerant entering the evaporator coil by responding to suction line temperature and pressure via a remote sensing bulb. This maintains a consistent superheat target as system load conditions fluctuate, protecting the compressor from refrigerant flooding or overheating while maximizing heat transfer efficiency.

Key Features:

• OEM Trane replacement thermostatic expansion valve (TXV)
• Rated for 8-ton system capacity
• Circuit A designation for multi-circuit commercial evaporator coil applications
• Maintains precise superheat control under varying load conditions
• Protects the compressor from liquid refrigerant slugging and overheating
• Direct OEM replacement ensures proper fit and performance for compatible Trane systems
• Manufactured to Trane's original specifications for long-term reliability

This valve is a direct OEM replacement part intended for installation by a qualified HVAC technician. Correct TXV selection by tonnage and circuit designation is essential — installing an incorrectly sized or mismatched valve may result in evaporator starvation or flooding. Always verify compatibility with the specific Trane coil model before installation.
