Product Details

The Liland Global IGM28B is a direct-replacement steel fuel tank designed for 1955–1956 Chevrolet Bel Air, 150, and 210 Series passenger cars (excluding wagons). Built to restore your classic Tri-Five Chevy's fuel system with a factory-correct fit and reliable long-term performance, this tank is an ideal choice for restoration projects and daily drivers alike.

Key Features:

  • 16-gallon capacity — matches the original OEM fuel tank volume
  • Square corner weld construction — distinguishes this tank from the round-corner IGM28A variant; features a full 360° weld for a secure, leak-resistant seal
  • Steel construction with anti-corrosive coating — powder-coated or painted to resist rust and corrosion for lasting durability
  • Individually air pressure tested — each tank is tested at the factory before shipment to ensure quality and integrity
  • OEM-style fitment — engineered to work with stock sending units, mounting straps, and filler necks for a straightforward installation
  • Cross-reference part numbers: GM28B, IGM28B, 3731405, ST31

Liland Global has been a trusted name in automotive aftermarket fuel system components for over 40 years, manufacturing hundreds of fuel tank models for domestic and foreign vehicles. The IGM28B is the square-corner version, purpose-built to replace aging, rusted, or leaking original tanks in classic 1955–1956 Chevrolet passenger models.

Finding and applying the part was fairly easy. Not real crazy about the shipping insurance though. I think it protects you more than me. If it get lost in shipping, I cancel the charge. Most major credit cards have that built in.

You had exactly what I was looking for and the delivery was very fast post purchase. Thank you!
