PPG MH283/8Z Undercoat Hardener 8 oz Normal Temperature 2K Primer Activator

The PPG MH283/8Z Undercoat Hardener is an 8 oz (half-pint) urethane activator designed for use with PPG's high-build 2K primer-surfacer systems. Formulated for cool to normal temperature application conditions, this hardener initiates the chemical cure process that gives 2K undercoats their durability, adhesion, and sandability.

Key Features:

• Normal-temperature formula — optimized for cool to standard shop temperature environments
• 8 oz (1/2 pt) size — ideal for small jobs or single-panel repairs
• 2K urethane chemistry — delivers a hard, moisture-resistant film build when activated
• Designed for use with PPG high-build primer-surfacer — including the MP282 system
• Clear hardener — does not affect the color or opacity of the primer

Follow PPG's published mixing ratios and pot life guidelines. Once activated, use the catalyzed mixture within the recommended pot life window. Proper surface preparation and application technique are required for best results.
