PPG DP401LF/08 Deltron Epoxy Primer Catalyst Pint

The PPG Deltron DP401LF Epoxy Primer Catalyst is a professional-grade activator designed for use with PPG's DPLF Epoxy Primer system. This pint-size (PT) catalyst is a core component of the 2:1 DPLF epoxy primer mixing system, delivering strong adhesion, corrosion resistance, and a durable foundation for automotive refinish topcoats.

Key Features:

• Standard-cure epoxy primer catalyst — provides a longer pot life compared to the fast DP402LF catalyst
• Mixed at a 2:1 ratio (DPLF Epoxy Primer to DP401LF catalyst), with optional acetone reduction
• Requires a 30-minute induction period after mixing for maximum performance properties
• Compatible with flexible parts — unlike the fast-cure DP402LF, DP401LF is safe for use on flexible substrates
• Suitable for use over properly prepared bare metal, aluminum, fiberglass, and plastic fillers
• Finished system can be used as a primer-sealer and topcoated with most PPG Refinish products
• Part of the PPG Deltron refinish system, designed for collision repair centers, custom shops, fleet refinishers, and motorcycle builders

After mixing, allow 60 minutes dry time at 70°F (21°C) before applying additional coats. The mixed system may be recoated any time within one week; after one week, the surface must be cleaned, sanded, and recleaned before recoating. Thorough mechanical agitation (5 minutes recommended) ensures a consistent, high-performance primer system.
