Bluesky MISC SAD-CT506 Lost Hot Rods Remarkable Stories of How They Were Found Book by Pat Ganahl

Lost Hot Rods: Remarkable Stories of How They Were Found is a 192-page hardcover book by celebrated automotive historian and journalist Pat Ganahl, published by CarTech. It chronicles the fascinating search for legendary hot rods and custom cars that vanished from the public eye — and the stories of how they were ultimately tracked down.

Unlike books about vintage barn finds or abandoned tin, this volume focuses specifically on the iconic hot rods and custom cars that were once famous on the show circuit or featured in automotive magazines, only to disappear. Ganahl investigates what truly happened to these one-of-a-kind machines, many of which turned up in urban and suburban garages — sometimes partly disassembled, sometimes pristine originals — hidden away for years or even decades.
