Product Details

The Motorad EVP0037 is a premium Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid (also known as a canister vent valve or EVAP vent valve) engineered to keep your vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system functioning correctly. This solenoid controls venting of the charcoal canister, closing off the system during OBD-II diagnostic test cycles to allow accurate leak detection monitoring.

Key Features:

  • EVAP system closure during OBD-II test cycles — provides the necessary sealing of the normally-open vent path so the PCM can perform EVAP monitor and leak detection routines
  • Integrated filter (where applicable) — captures contaminants and particulates from incoming air, preventing clogging and ensuring clean airflow through the canister
  • Fast valve response — quick actuation matches engine demands for efficient vapor venting and consistent emission system performance
  • Long-lasting construction — manufactured for durable, reliable operation that helps maintain compliance with environmental regulations
  • OEM-quality standards — built by a trusted supplier to leading automotive OEMs and Tier-1 manufacturers worldwide

The Motorad EVP0037 is a direct-fit replacement for a failed or faulty EVAP vent solenoid. A defective vent valve commonly triggers EVAP-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) such as P0446 or P0449. Restoring proper function with a quality replacement helps eliminate check engine lights and keeps your vehicle compliant with emissions standards.
