Wells 7D1140 Secondary Air Injection Diverter Valve

The Wells 7D1140 is a replacement secondary air injection control valve, also known as a diverter valve, designed to restore proper operation of your vehicle's Secondary Air Injection (AIR) system. This valve plays a critical role in emissions control by regulating when and where pressurized air is routed within the exhaust system.

During engine warm-up, the secondary air injection system pumps fresh air into the exhaust to oxidize unburned fuel, reducing harmful Hydrocarbons (HC) and Carbon Monoxide (CO) emissions. The diverter valve prevents potential backfire damage by redirecting compressed air to atmosphere during deceleration, when a momentarily rich air/fuel mixture would otherwise create unsafe conditions if air were injected into the exhaust stream.

Key Features:

• Direct-fit replacement for a failed or degraded secondary air injection diverter valve
• Restores proper emissions system function and helps eliminate related diagnostic trouble codes
• Manufactured by Wells Vehicle Electronics, a trusted name in automotive engine management and emissions components
• Built to meet OEM specifications for reliable, long-lasting performance
