Wells 5S5219 Throttle Position Sensor

The Wells 5S5219 is a direct-fit replacement Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) engineered by Wells Vehicle Electronics to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications in fit, form, and function.

How It Works:

The throttle position sensor monitors the position of the throttle blade within the throttle body. The engine control module (ECM) uses this signal to determine the correct amount of fuel delivery, ignition timing, and transmission shift points based on driver throttle input.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to meet or exceed OE specifications
• Superior resistance to heat and vibration for long service life
• Precise throttle angle measurement for accurate ECM signaling
• Direct OE-style connector for hassle-free installation
• Manufactured by Wells Vehicle Electronics, a leading global supplier of advanced vehicle electronics

Common Symptoms of a Failing Throttle Position Sensor:

• Hesitation or stumble during acceleration
• Erratic or inconsistent transmission shift points
• Poor idle quality or engine stalling
• Reduced fuel economy
• Check engine light (CEL/MIL) illumination

Replace a worn or faulty TPS with the Wells 5S5219 to restore proper engine management, smooth acceleration, and consistent drivetrain performance.
