Wells 4B1729 Vapor Canister EVAP Emissions Replacement

The Wells 4B1729 Vapor Canister is a direct-fit replacement component for the vehicle's evaporative emission control (EVAP) system. The vapor canister stores and contains harmful fuel vapors from the fuel tank that would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, helping the vehicle meet emissions standards and protect air quality.

When the engine is running, stored vapors are purged from the canister and burned in the combustion process. A failed or degraded canister can result in drivability issues, reduced fuel economy, and illumination of the check engine light (CEL), as well as a failed emissions inspection.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• Compatible with both domestic and imported vehicle applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Meets or exceeds original equipment specifications

Common Symptoms of a Failing Vapor Canister:

• Stalling or drivability issues
• Poor fuel economy
• Check engine light illumination
• Failed emissions test

The Wells 4B1729 is located near the fuel tank and is designed for straightforward replacement of the original canister. Wells Vehicle Electronics is a leading global engineer, manufacturer, and supplier of advanced vehicle electronics solutions for OE and aftermarket replacement applications.
