Bosch 0986259049 Exhaust Gas Temperature EGT Sensor

The Bosch 0986259049 is an OE-quality Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor designed to provide accurate, real-time monitoring of exhaust temperatures, protecting critical engine and aftertreatment system components.

Key Features:

• Delivers precise exhaust gas temperature data to the ECU for optimal thermal management of SCR and DPF systems
• Helps prevent damage to turbos, catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters (DPFs), and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems
• Supports efficient DPF regeneration cycles and helps prevent missed or incomplete regeneration that raises backpressure and fuel consumption
• Monitors SCR inlet temperature to ensure urea dosing occurs within the proper thermal window, preventing injector deposits
• Built to withstand exhaust stream temperatures exceeding 1,600°F using stainless steel housings, ceramic insulators, and glass-to-metal hermetic seals
• Integrated with ECU software via CAN-bus for real-time onboard diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and emissions compliance
• Uses thermistor or thermocouple sensing elements to measure temperatures directly in the exhaust stream
• Manufactured and validated to OE standards for direct-fit, plug-and-play replacement

Bosch EGT sensors meet strict Euro 6 and EPA emissions requirements for precise exhaust aftertreatment thermal management. Built with robust, heat-resistant materials and backed by Bosch's engineering heritage, the 0986259049 delivers long service life and dependable performance under extreme thermal loads.
