Amana-Goodman 11046704 OEM Disc Thermostat Replacement Part

The Amana-Goodman 11046704 is a genuine OEM disc thermostat designed as a direct replacement component for Amana and Goodman residential HVAC systems. This disc thermostat functions as a temperature-sensing switch that monitors thermal conditions and interrupts or initiates electrical flow in response to temperature changes, helping protect critical system components during operation.

In Amana and Goodman air conditioner and heat pump applications, disc thermostats are commonly used in conjunction with crankcase heater circuits. The thermostat senses ambient or component temperature and controls the crankcase heater accordingly — keeping the compressor crankcase oil at the correct temperature to prevent refrigerant migration and oil dilution when the unit is not running.
