Product Details

The Wells 3F1042 is a replacement Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Gasket engineered to provide a reliable, leak-free seal at the EGR valve mounting interface. This base gasket is a direct-fit OE-style replacement designed to restore proper EGR system function and prevent exhaust gas leaks that can trigger emissions-related diagnostic trouble codes.

The EGR system works by recirculating a portion of exhaust gas back into the engine's combustion chamber, helping reduce harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions and lower combustion temperatures. A compromised EGR valve gasket can cause exhaust leaks, rough idle, and failed emissions tests, making timely replacement critical to maintaining engine efficiency and emissions compliance.

Key Features:

  • Direct-fit replacement designed to meet or exceed OE specifications in form, fit, and function
  • Base gasket style for precise sealing at the EGR valve-to-intake manifold interface
  • Engineered for reliable performance and long service life
  • Helps maintain proper EGR system sealing to support emissions compliance
  • One gasket included per part number
