Auto Transmiss Parts CA-8689 Accelerator Cable Throttle Cable Replacement

The Auto Transmiss Parts CA-8689 is a direct-fit replacement accelerator cable, also known as a throttle cable, engineered to restore proper throttle pedal-to-carburetor or throttle body linkage on compatible vehicles. A worn or damaged accelerator cable can cause sluggish throttle response, sticking, or a pedal that fails to return to idle — this replacement cable restores precise mechanical control between the gas pedal and the engine's throttle plate.

Key Features:

• Direct OE-style replacement for a precise, no-modification fit
• Durable steel inner cable construction for reliable tensile strength
• Polymer outer housing resists corrosion, heat, and abrasion for long service life
• Designed to match original equipment length, end fittings, and routing
• Restores proper throttle response and full pedal return action

This accelerator cable is designed for vehicles where the mechanical cable connects the accelerator pedal to the throttle plate — common on carbureted and early fuel-injected applications. Installation follows the original cable routing and requires no special tools beyond basic hand tools.
