Auto Transmiss Parts CA-8457 Accelerator Cable Throttle Cable Replacement

The CA-8457 accelerator cable is a high-quality replacement throttle cable engineered to restore precise pedal-to-throttle response and smooth engine control. This cable provides the critical mechanical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle body or carburetor, delivering accurate power transfer and consistent drivability.

Key Features:

• OEM-grade construction — manufactured to original equipment specifications for proper fit and function
• High tensile-strength steel inner cable — resists stretching, fraying, and breakage for long-term reliability
• Protective polymer outer housing — shields the cable from debris, corrosion, and abrasion while enabling smooth, low-friction operation
• Precision end fittings — correctly engineered cable ends, brackets, and grommets included where applicable for a secure, hassle-free installation
• Quality tested — each cable is verified to meet performance and durability standards before leaving the factory

Over time, accelerator cables can bind, stretch, or snap due to age and normal wear, causing sluggish throttle response, sticking, or complete loss of engine speed control. Replacing a worn cable with the CA-8457 restores factory-level throttle feel and drivability. This cable is also commonly referred to as a throttle cable or gas pedal cable.
