IBC P-142 Ignitor Kit Single Prong VFC Classic Replacement

The IBC P-142 Ignitor Kit is the genuine OEM single-prong ignitor replacement kit designed for IBC VFC Classic series high-efficiency condensing boilers. This kit restores reliable ignition and flame-proving performance to boilers suffering from ignition failure or degraded flame current.

What's Included:

• Single-prong ignitor rod
• Graphite ignitor gasket (replaces older white gaskets)

Key Features:

• Genuine IBC OEM Part — engineered to exact factory specifications for the VFC Classic heat exchanger
• Dual Function — the ignitor also serves as the boiler's flame sensor, making proper installation and gap adjustment critical
• Graphite Gasket Included — provides a superior seal compared to the original white gaskets
• Straightforward Replacement — secured with two M4 Phillips-head screws; installs by hand-tightening only (no powered driver)
• Expected Service Life — approximately four years when properly gapped

Compatible with IBC boiler models VFC 15-150 and VFC 45-225 featuring the original 'neck'-access (Classic) heat exchanger. When installing, always verify and adjust the spark gap between the ignitor tip and the burner for proper ignition. Refer to IBC installation document 120-288E5 for full replacement instructions.
