Carrier 340620-727 Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit OEM Replacement

The Carrier 340620-727 is a genuine OEM Thermostatic Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit designed as a direct replacement for Carrier residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This 2-ton TXV kit is engineered to precisely regulate refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil, maintaining optimal system efficiency and cooling performance.

A thermostatic expansion valve is a critical refrigerant metering device in split-system air conditioners and air handlers. As the evaporator coil temperature changes, the TXV responds by modulating the valve opening to deliver exactly the right amount of refrigerant needed — preventing both flooding and starving of the evaporator, which can degrade system performance and shorten equipment life.

Key Features:

• Genuine Carrier OEM replacement part for accurate fit and performance
• Rated for 2-ton system capacity
• Designed for use with R-410A refrigerant systems
• Provides precise refrigerant flow metering for maximum system efficiency
• Direct drop-in replacement meets original design specifications
• Kit includes mounting hardware for straightforward installation
