Moog EC976 Steering Idler Arm

The Moog EC976 is a direct-fit replacement steering idler arm engineered to restore precise steering control and eliminate the looseness or wandering caused by a worn original equipment arm. As part of Moog's industry-leading Problem Solver series, this idler arm incorporates design enhancements that deliver longer service life and simplified installation compared to standard OE replacements.

Key Features:

• Problem Solver Design: Engineered with improvements over the original equipment part for enhanced durability and extended service life
• Greaseable Construction: Equipped with a grease fitting that allows new lubricant to flush contaminants from the assembly, reducing corrosion and wear over time
• Gusher Bearing: Powdered-metal gusher bearing design enables grease to flow through the bearing for reduced friction and improved strength and stability
• Forged Steel Construction: Heavy-duty forged steel composition provides a stronger, more rigid component versus cast alternatives
• Direct OE Replacement: Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for a precise, accurate fit
• Trusted Brand: Moog is the preferred steering and suspension brand of professional technicians

The idler arm is a critical component of the steering linkage system, connecting the center link to the vehicle frame and pivoting as the steering wheel is turned. A worn idler arm can cause symptoms such as steering wander, excessive play in the steering wheel, and uneven tire wear. The Moog EC976 provides a reliable, long-lasting solution to restore confident, responsive handling.
