About Air Bag Impact Sensors:

Air bag impact sensors detect when a crash or collision occurs and send a signal to the air bag control module to deploy the airbags if the impact is severe enough. They are typically located behind the front bumper and within the A, B, and C pillars of the vehicle. A failed sensor or damaged connector will illuminate the air bag malfunction indicator light and disable the SRS system.

The Wells 1P4226 connector pigtail is the correct solution when the sensor itself is functional but the wiring connector has been damaged, corroded, or compromised, allowing you to restore full SRS functionality without replacing the entire sensor assembly.
