Wells 4F1397 Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Replacement

The Wells 4F1397 is a direct-fit replacement Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve engineered to restore proper emissions system performance. The EGR valve reduces harmful nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions by recirculating a measured portion of exhaust gas back into the engine's combustion chamber, lowering combustion temperatures and reducing pollutants released into the atmosphere.

Key Features:

• OE-Matched Design: Engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications for fit, form, and function
• Superior Wear Resistance: Built with materials offering enhanced wear and corrosion resistance for long service life
• Precise Fit: Exact-match dimensions ensure straightforward, hassle-free installation
• Improved Reliability: Features heavier circuit board material and a wider pressure clip compared to some OE designs
• Emissions Compliant: Helps restore proper NOx control to keep your vehicle within emissions standards

A failing EGR valve can cause symptoms such as rough idle, engine hesitation, surging at highway speeds, increased fuel consumption, high NOx emissions, and an illuminated Check Engine Light (CEL). Replacing a worn or stuck valve with the Wells 4F1397 restores proper EGR system function and helps prevent failed emissions inspections.
