ACDelco 85698204 OE Replacement Active Grille Radiator Shutter Assembly

The ACDelco 85698204 is a GM Original Equipment active grille radiator shutter assembly, engineered and validated to meet GM factory specifications for fit, form, and function. This direct-fit OE replacement restores proper operation of the vehicle's active front grille shutter system.

The vehicle's control module continuously monitors engine temperature, vehicle speed, and HVAC demand to automatically open and close the shutter vanes as conditions require.

• Improved Aerodynamics: At highway speeds, closed shutters reduce aerodynamic drag, improving fuel efficiency
• Faster Engine Warm-Up: Shutters remain closed during cold starts to help the engine reach operating temperature more quickly
• Maximum Cooling On Demand: Shutters open fully when the engine needs maximum airflow — during high-load driving, towing, or hot ambient conditions
• OE Fit and Function: Manufactured to GM Original Equipment specifications for a precise, plug-and-play installation
• GM-Backed Quality: Designed, engineered, and tested to GM's rigorous quality standards

A faulty active grille shutter can trigger a Check Engine Light or a "Service Active Grille Shutter" message on the instrument cluster. Replacing with a genuine ACDelco OE part ensures the system returns to factory performance and restores proper engine thermal management and aerodynamic efficiency.
