How It Works:

The IBMS-150 consists of two components: the reed switch side and the magnet side. The reed switch is normally closed — when the magnet is held in proximity to the reed side, the circuit opens, breaking the connection across the two wires. When the door or compartment is opened and the magnet moves away, the circuit closes again, sending a trigger signal to the alarm system.
