Caliso 22012 Thermal Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The Caliso 22012 is a thermal engine cooling fan clutch designed as a direct-fit replacement for vehicles equipped with an OEM thermal-style fan clutch. This component plays a critical role in your engine's cooling system, automatically regulating fan engagement based on underhood temperature to help prevent overheating and reduce unnecessary engine load.

Thermal fan clutches use a temperature-sensitive bimetal coil spring mounted on the front face of the clutch. When hot air from the radiator heats the spring, it expands and opens an internal valve, allowing silicone fluid to flow into the drive area and engage the fan for maximum cooling. As temperatures drop, the spring contracts, the valve closes, and the fan speed is reduced — improving fuel efficiency and reducing engine noise at highway speeds.

Key Features:

• Thermal engagement responds directly to engine bay temperature for efficient, on-demand cooling
• Silicone fluid-filled clutch mechanism for smooth, reliable fan engagement and disengagement
• Direct-fit replacement design for straightforward bolt-on installation
• Helps prevent engine overheating during low-speed operation and heavy loads
• Reduces parasitic engine drag and improves fuel economy when cooling is not required
• Built to meet or exceed original equipment performance standards

The Caliso 22012 thermal fan clutch is a dependable replacement solution for restoring proper cooling system function. Always verify fitment for your specific application before installation.
