Caliso 22344 Electro-Viscous Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The Caliso 22344 is an electro-viscous engine cooling fan clutch engineered as a direct-fit replacement for compatible diesel truck applications. Unlike conventional thermal fan clutches that rely on a bimetallic coil, this electro-viscous fan clutch uses an electronically controlled electromagnetic circuit to regulate fan engagement based on signals from the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM), enabling more precise and responsive engine cooling.

Key Features:

• Electronically controlled engagement — PCM-commanded fan speed optimization for accurate, demand-driven cooling
• Electro-viscous design — uses viscous fluid and an internal electromagnet to provide smooth, progressive fan engagement and disengagement
• Direct-fit replacement — engineered to match OE specifications for a straightforward, no-modification installation
• Improved cooling efficiency — reduces parasitic engine load when full cooling is not required, supporting better fuel economy
• Fail-safe operation — designed to maintain fan engagement in the event of an electrical fault, protecting the engine from overheating
• Cross-reference part number: 22344 — compatible with other 22344-series electro-viscous fan clutch applications

The Caliso 22344 electro-viscous fan clutch restores proper engine cooling system performance, helping to maintain optimal operating temperatures and protect against overheating under demanding conditions.
