Caliso 22338 Electro-Viscous Fan Clutch Replacement

The Caliso 22338 is a direct-fit electro-viscous fan clutch engineered to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Unlike traditional thermal fan clutches, the electro-viscous design uses an electromagnet and viscous fluid system to modulate cooling fan engagement based on real-time engine coolant temperature signals from the vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM), delivering more precise thermal management and improved fuel efficiency.

Key Features:

• Electro-viscous design uses electromagnetic control for precise fan speed modulation
• Engineered to meet or exceed OEM fit, form, and function requirements
• Application coverage, clutch specification, and industry interchange information printed on label
• High-quality internal components for long-term durability and reliability
• Direct bolt-on replacement — no modifications required

The electro-viscous fan clutch operates by commanding the cooling fan only when the engine demands it, reducing unnecessary parasitic drag on the engine. When coolant temperature rises, the PCM energizes the electromagnetic clutch, engaging the viscous drive and pulling air through the radiator. When temperatures normalize, the clutch disengages, reducing engine load and improving fuel economy.

The Caliso 22338 is a reliable OE-style replacement for vehicles requiring an electro-viscous fan clutch, offering a straightforward installation and restoring proper engine cooling system operation.
