Caliso 22337 Electro-Viscous Engine Cooling Fan Clutch

The Caliso 22337 is an electro-viscous engine cooling fan clutch engineered as a direct replacement for select light-duty truck and SUV applications. Unlike traditional thermostatic fan clutches that rely on a bimetal coil, the electro-viscous design uses an electromagnet controlled by the vehicle's PCM to modulate fan speed in direct response to coolant temperature sensor data, delivering faster and more precise thermal management.

Key Features:

• Electro-viscous technology — electromagnetically controlled viscous fluid coupling provides smooth, progressive fan engagement and disengagement
• PCM-controlled operation — fan speed is commanded by the engine control unit for optimized cooling efficiency at all driving conditions
• OEM-spec replacement — designed and tested to meet or exceed original equipment manufacturer specifications
• Reduces parasitic drag — fan disengages when cooling demand is low, improving fuel efficiency and reducing unnecessary engine load
• High-quality construction — built with premium materials for durability and long service life consistent with OEM components

The electro-viscous fan clutch plays a critical role in preventing engine overheating during low-speed driving and idling while minimizing fan noise and power draw at highway speeds. The Caliso 22337 is a direct bolt-on replacement that restores proper cooling system performance.
