Caliso 22142 Thermal Fan Clutch Engine Cooling

The Caliso 22142 is a direct-fit thermal fan clutch designed to restore proper engine cooling performance. The thermal fan clutch is a critical component in the engine cooling system, automatically regulating the fan speed based on engine temperature to provide efficient airflow through the radiator when needed most.

This thermostatic unit uses a bi-metallic spring and silicone fluid chamber to sense ambient and engine heat. At lower temperatures or highway speeds—when sufficient airflow already passes through the radiator—the clutch partially disengages, reducing parasitic drag on the engine for improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise. Under heavy load or at low speeds when temperatures climb, the clutch fully engages the cooling fan to deliver maximum airflow and prevent overheating.

Key Features:

• Thermostatic operation automatically matches fan engagement to actual cooling demand
• Silicone fluid-filled coupling provides smooth, progressive engagement
• Direct OE-replacement fit for straightforward installation
• Reduces parasitic horsepower loss when full cooling is not required
• Helps lower underhood noise at cruising speeds
• Durable steel housing built to withstand high-heat engine bay environments
• Restores cooling system efficiency to OEM specification

The Caliso 22142 thermal fan clutch is a reliable replacement part engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications, helping to extend engine life and maintain optimal operating temperatures.
