The Replacement RD31450004 is a direct-fit OEM-replacement fuel lift pump designed for the 1998–2002 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 equipped with the turbocharged 5.9L Cummins 24-valve diesel engine and VP44 injection pump. This engine-mounted lift pump is responsible for transferring fuel from the tank to the high-pressure injection pump and fuel rail, maintaining consistent fuel flow for reliable engine operation.

Key Features:

• Direct replacement for OEM part numbers 5014228AA, 5015553AA, and 5080885AA
• Designed specifically for the 24-valve 5.9L Cummins diesel with VP44 injection pump
• Precision-manufactured internal components built to meet OEM specifications
• Maintains consistent fuel pressure and flow to the injection pump during vehicle operation
• Mounts to the engine block on the driver's side, behind the fuel filter — matching factory location
• Compatible with Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 applications (1998–2002)

A properly functioning lift pump is critical to the performance and longevity of the VP44 injection pump. Loss of fuel pressure from a failed lift pump can result in power loss, hard starting, misfires, or injection pump damage. This OEM-replacement unit restores factory fuel delivery performance.
