Product Details

The Rheem-Ruud 425074 is an OEM single-pole sequencing relay designed for use in Rheem and Ruud electric heating systems. Operating on a 24V control voltage with a Single-Pole Single-Throw, Normally Open (SPST-N/O) contact configuration, this relay is used to stage electric heating elements in sequence — preventing simultaneous high-current draws at startup and ensuring reliable, efficient heating performance.

Key Features:

  • Contact Configuration: SPST – Normally Open (N/O)
  • Control Coil Voltage: 24V AC
  • Pole Count: 1-Pole
  • Designed for staged/sequenced activation of electric heating elements
  • OEM Rheem-Ruud replacement part for precise fit and compatibility
  • Low-voltage coil energizes to switch higher-voltage heating circuits

Sequencing relays like the 425074 are a critical component in electric furnaces and air handlers. By staggering the activation of heating elements one at a time, they reduce peak electrical demand and protect system components from inrush current stress. This is a genuine Rheem-Ruud OEM part, ensuring proper form, fit, and function in supported equipment.

all has gone good

I received my order of Shurflo replacement o-rings very quickly - sooner than expected. Unfortunately, I really only needed 1 or 2 o-rings, but they are only offered in a pack of 10. I'll never use 10 o-rings, so it was wasteful spending. I shopped other companies, and could not find packs of 1 or 2, and Boatplicity was the least expensive for what is available on-line.

Was okay
