Roto-Joint Technology:

UMI's proprietary Roto-Joint design delivers 28 degrees of total unrestricted movement, eliminating suspension bind while improving traction and reducing wheel hop. Each Roto-Joint features a 4140 chromoly hard chrome-plated spherical ball rotating within a precision CNC-machined delrin race. This design provides the articulation benefits of a spherical bearing while maintaining the streetable characteristics necessary for daily driving. The delrin material offers superior wear resistance and maintains its physical properties over time, ensuring long-term performance.

Installation and Maintenance:

The polyurethane bushing ends mount to the vehicle chassis to absorb road noise and vibration before entering the passenger compartment, while the Roto-Joints attach to the rear axle housing for precise suspension movement. Both the bushings and Roto-Joints are greaseable for low-maintenance operation. The adjustable Roto-Joints allow off-car length adjustments to the panhard bar, making it easy to achieve proper rear axle positioning. As the delrin races wear over time, the included spanner wrench enables you to tighten the adjusting ring to maintain proper tension, or completely disassemble the joints for inspection, cleaning, and rebuilding.
