The EBC BBK062RED-1 is a front Apollo-6 Balanced Big Brake Kit featuring red 6-piston calipers and oversized 355mm two-piece rotors. Engineered by EBC Brakes Racing in Great Britain, this kit delivers a dramatic braking performance upgrade for street and track use, providing significantly reduced stopping distances and a firmer, more responsive brake pedal.

At the heart of this kit are EBC's lightweight yet strong aluminium Apollo-6 six-piston calipers, machined from heat-treated low-pressure castings for superior consistency and strength over conventional gravity-cast designs. The calipers use a 2-piece bolted construction reinforced with high-tensile 12.9 grade steel bolts, proven via FEA analysis to dramatically increase caliper bridge stiffness — especially during hard braking where aluminium mono-block calipers tend to flex. Staggered aluminium hard-anodised pistons with serrated noses eliminate uneven pad wear and reduce heat transfer into the brake fluid.
