Wells 4B1736 EVAP Vapor Canister Charcoal Canister Replacement

The Wells 4B1736 is a direct-fit replacement EVAP vapor canister (also known as a charcoal canister or carbon canister) designed to restore proper evaporative emissions control system function. Wells Vehicle Electronics engineers and tests this canister to match OE parts in fit, form, and function, ensuring a hassle-free installation and reliable long-term performance.

Key Features:

• OE-matched design — engineered to meet or exceed original equipment specifications in fit, form, and function
• Activated charcoal construction — stores and contains harmful fuel vapors from the fuel tank, preventing them from escaping into the atmosphere
• Compatible with domestic and imported vehicles — provides broad application coverage
• Direct replacement — plug-and-play installation with no modifications required
• Quality tested — undergoes simulation and endurance testing to ensure proper performance and durability

A faulty or saturated vapor canister can result in symptoms such as excessive fuel consumption, a failed emissions inspection, or an illuminated Check Engine Light (CEL). Replacing the canister with the Wells 4B1736 restores the integrity of the EVAP system and helps keep hydrocarbon emissions in check, supporting compliance with emissions regulations.
