NTP YD243 Distributor Cap for Mitsubishi

The NTP YD243 is a quality replacement distributor cap designed for select Mitsubishi vehicles. This essential ignition component connects spark plug wires to the distributor while protecting internal distributor components from moisture, dirt, and debris.

Key Features:

• OEM-quality replacement distributor cap
• Durable construction with precision-molded housing
• Metal contact points for reliable voltage transfer
• Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Direct fit replacement for easy installation

The distributor cap plays a critical role in your vehicle's ignition system by routing high voltage from the ignition coil to the spark plugs in the correct firing order. When the rotor contacts the metal terminals inside the cap, it transfers voltage to the appropriate spark plug wire to create the combustion spark. Over time, distributor caps can wear, crack, or develop carbon tracking, leading to misfires, rough idle, or starting problems. Regular replacement as part of a tune-up helps maintain optimal engine performance and reliability.
