Wells 2M1627 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid EVAP Emissions Control Valve

The Wells 2M1627 Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid is a direct-fit OE replacement component for your vehicle's evaporative emissions (EVAP) control system. Also known as a purge valve or EVAP purge control solenoid, this part regulates the flow of stored fuel vapors from the charcoal canister into the engine's intake stream, where they are burned during normal combustion.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) commands the solenoid to open and close based on engine operating conditions, ensuring proper vapor purge cycles and keeping your vehicle in compliance with emissions standards. A failed purge solenoid can trigger a check engine light (CEL), cause the engine to run rich, increase fuel consumption, and result in a failed emissions test.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to match OE parts in fit, form, and function
• Compatible with both domestic and imported vehicle applications
• Includes OE-style brackets, hardware, and electrical connectors where applicable
• Designed to meet or exceed original equipment specifications
• Backed by Wells Vehicle Electronics' over 120 years of automotive manufacturing experience

The vapor canister purge solenoid is typically located under the hood near the intake manifold, though exact placement varies by engine design. The Wells 2M1627 is engineered for a straightforward, drop-in replacement, restoring proper EVAP system operation and helping your vehicle pass emissions inspections.
