Wells 5S5022 Throttle Position Sensor

The Wells 5S5022 Throttle Position Sensor monitors the position of the throttle blade within the throttle body and communicates critical data to the engine control module. The TPS measures the angle of the throttle plate as the driver presses on the accelerator pedal and sends a voltage signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The engine control module uses this information to determine the proper amount of fuel for the cylinders as well as ignition timing, transmission shifting and more.
