Standard Motor Products ATS13 Air Cleaner Temperature Sensor

The Standard Motor Products ATS13 is a direct-fit replacement air cleaner temperature sensor designed for carbureted engines equipped with a Thermostatic Air Cleaner (TAC) system. Also referred to as a heat stove sensor or air sensor, this component monitors the temperature of incoming air inside the air cleaner housing and signals the vacuum motor to blend warm and cold air for optimal combustion efficiency.

The TAC system relies on this sensor to help the engine warm up quickly, reduce carburetor icing, improve cold-start fuel atomization, and lower harmful emissions during warmup. When the sensor detects sufficiently warm air, it allows the air cleaner flap to transition from drawing pre-heated exhaust manifold air to cooler outside air — protecting against power loss and detonation at operating temperature.

Key Features:

• Direct OE-replacement design for precise fit and function
• Restores proper thermostatic air cleaner operation
• Helps prevent carburetor icing and rough cold-start driveability
• Supports correct air/fuel mixture during engine warm-up
• Manufactured to Standard Motor Products' OE-equivalent quality standards
• Standard Motor Products part number: ATS13
